Treasures galore at 58th Annual Gem, Jewelry, Fossil & Mineral Show Swap Meet

Roseville, CA – June 30, 2020 – From fascinating ornate jewelry to the fossils of creatures millions of years old, the 58th Annual Gem, Jewelry, Fossil & Mineral Show Swap Meet has just about something for every member of the family.

Relocated to the spacious Placer Valley Event Center to accommodate safety guidelines, @the Grounds is extremely glad to present the annual tradition put on by the Roseville Rock Rollers Gem & Mineral Society.

As the Roseville Rock Rollers prepare for this weekend’s event after months of uncertainty, Show Chair James Hutchings said the underlying goal of the show remains the same.

“The mission of our show is to present to the public the world of the science, lapidary arts, and jewelry potential of the mineral kingdom,” Hutchings said. “The education value for young people reinforces their California state education curriculum on rocks, minerals, and the rock cycle. We intend to send visitors away with an appreciation of the incredible wonders found in nature.”

Along with 60 vendors with the most fascinating minerals, fossils and jewelry, Hutchings said those who have a rock, mineral, or gemstone they always wondered about, can have it expertly identified at the Mineral Identification lab.

This two-day event is designed around education, Hutchings added, with hands on opportunities and rewarding experiences the entire day. As for the little ones, Hutchings points to the “Education Station” is the place to for kids, scouts, and students who want to explore the science behind rocks, minerals, geology and fossils!
