Holidays Kick Off with Harvest Market @the Grounds

While it was sunny and bright throughout the weekend, the holiday shopping spirit was in full swing as Harvest Market descended on @the Grounds in Roseville.

Making its first appearance in the Roebbelen Center, the renowned Harvest Market brought in vendors selling everything from handcrafted jewelry, custom woodwork, gourmet food items and of course, plenty of holiday decorations and gifts.

Among those anxious to get into the holiday shopping season was Jenay Maronate, owner of Kitchen Witch Gourmet of Lodi. Specializing in Loose Leaf teas and specialty spices, Maronte said the holidays are typically a time of year when vendors do their best business.

“We are so happy to have the chance to be out here and see everyone who was able to come out,” Maronte said on Sunday. “The holiday season is so important because we get a chance to make someone’s year with that special gift. And when you receive one of our holiday teas, it’s kind of like receiving a big ol’ hug.”

Exceeding health and safety standards was also a large aspect across the three-day weekend.

For Event Organizer Jordana Glenn, temporarily reinventing Harvest Festival into a premier indoor/outdoor market was a top priority. With the focus on giving guests and vendors the best experience possible, Glenn said there was extra emphasis on health and safety.

Along with mandating guests wear masks, Harvest Market spaced out vendor booths well apart and offered visual and audio reminders of best health and safety practices.

In addition, @the Grounds continued its SAFE. CLEAN. HEALTHY. campaign, which optimizes its 160,000 square foot Roebbelen Center and expansive grounds, best practice signage and makes sure restrooms and widely used surfaces are clean often.
