Doll and teddy bear show for all ages Saturday

There is no need to be an avid collector to enjoy the Crossroads Doll and Teddy Bear Show, which will be held in Jones Hall @the Grounds on Saturday.

As Dolls4all President Dorothy Drake prepares for the family-friendly show, she knows full well how much fun attendees will have.

The fun will not just be limited to avid collectors or those who specialize in appraising the collection of treasures but to children and children-at-heart, the casual historian and those who are simply curious.

“My doll show philosophy is to create a light-hearted atmosphere where vendors and collectors alike can expand their doll and teddy bear experience,” Drake said of the event that is in its 17th year. “We add value to our shows by developing special events and demonstrations, so come out to the show and enjoy a fun Dolly Day.”

Attendees can have their dolls or teddy bears evaluated by industry experts. Among the big names at Saturday’s event will be teddy bear expert John Port. Marshall Martin, seen on the long-running PBS program “Antique Roadshow,” will also appraise dolls.

Attendees are asked to bring up to two mystery treasures for verbal appraisal. Cameras are allowed at the event.

The Crossroads Doll and Teddy Bear Show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Jones Hall, located @the Grounds, 700 Event Center Drive, Roseville.

Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Parking is $10 per vehicle,
