POSITION SUMMARY:
@the Grounds is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Housekeeping/Janitorial team member. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non-routine cleaning, meetings, and shows. The Housekeeping person will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room, and public areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed
- Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space, and parking lot.
- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
- Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
- Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
- Help out all other departments as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- One-year housekeeping experience
- High school diploma/GED required
- Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision
- Capacity to take direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Event Coordinator supports the planning and on-site execution of a variety of events at @the Grounds. This role works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure events are run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with facility policies. Responsibilities include assisting with event logistics, maintaining accurate documentation, communicating event requirements, supporting clients before and during events, and addressing issues as they arise in a fast-paced, event-driven environment that requires flexibility and the ability to work extended and irregular hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events from pre-event through breakdown
- Serve as a point of support for clients by communicating requirements, timelines, and facility policies
- Track event details, including schedules, floor plans, room setups, and insurance requirements
- Attend planning meetings and site walk,s and distribute follow-up information as needed
- Maintain accurate event files, reports, and documentation
- Communicate event needs clearly to operational department,s including facilities, housekeeping, conversions, concessions, and security
- Support on-site event operations by addressing issues, responding to client and guest needs, and ensuring smooth execution
- Adhere to all safety, security, and operational procedures, and assist with incident documentation and follow-up
- Maintain a professional and positive presence with clients, guests, vendors, and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Â
- Knowledge of or ability to learn event coordination, facility operations, and food and beverage operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain professional and solution-focused in high-pressure situations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with standard office software and the ability to learn event management systems
- Ability to work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Â
- Experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related field preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience preferred
- Four-year degree preferred but not required
- Availability to work extended and irregular hours required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide excellent customer service and contribute to the successful execution of events, ensuring @the Grounds is the premier destination in Placer County and the Sacramento region for fairs, festivals, and celebrations.
- Enter data into a computerized cash register system and balance till registers at the end of the day.
- Perform cash handling tasks, including making changes, balancing, and recording the cash drawer.
- Prepare cash for deposit or disbursement.
- Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage, theft, and to monitor for potential hazards.
- Offer assistance to guests, such as giving directions or providing wheelchairs when needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly parking area, maximizing space usage.
- Direct motorists to parking areas or specific spaces using hand signals or flashlights when necessary.
- Set up and remove barricades to open or close parking areas.
Qualifications

@the Grounds is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment.
Essential Duties
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the following:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
Conduct inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
Considerable experience operating hand power tools and other equipment.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests as assigned.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operation.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, rain, or cold weather for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, sit, or be in a laydown position for an extended period, up to an entire shift, depending on the task assigned.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces, underground, on suspended work areas, at heights that can exceed 60’ in the air.
- Must have and maintain a California Driver’s License (CDL) and be eligible to be insured by our insurance provider.
- Must maintain equipment certification, including but not limited to Forklift, Gene Lift, Boom Lift, etc.
